PERTH – August 15, 2022 – Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI) today announced it has acquired Barrett Communications, a global provider of specialty wireless communications trusted by customers in civil defense, border protection, coast guards and other government and private sectors. The company is based in Perth, Western Australia.
Barrett Communications develops mission-critical radio frequency (HF) and very high frequency (VHF) radio communications that complement Motorola Solutions’ existing radio portfolio. This technology is designed to enable critical communications anywhere without the need for infrastructure, making it ideal for supporting security and peacekeeping operations, as well as humanitarian relief efforts during natural disasters.
