The Belgian F1 GP will take to the track for a 44-lap race on Sunday 28 August 2022. The F1 race starts at 14:00 BST.

The famous 7.004km Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Stavelot, Belgium sets the stage for the event.

Pole position and starting grid
Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) starts the race from pole position. The 27-year-old Spaniard finished second in qualifying, 0.632s behind reigning F1 World Champion Verstappen.

Despite first place, however, Verstappen starts in 15th place due to a grid engine penalty. Seven different drivers received penalties for replacing drive unit parts beyond their allotment for the season. These players will occupy positions 14-20.
